So, some midterms are over. When I was a student, I would try to reward myself after every exam. I'd often go and buy a stack of comics, or get a big bowl of Smartfood and watch a TV show I'd taped on the VCR.
What do you do after a big exam is over?
And then...
Why aren't you studying?

I play a ton of strategy games, they really interest me unlike all my classes... And it helps me get rid of some anxiety.
But alot of other people can't stand strategy games, but i cant help liking what i like.
2 parts carbon, 6 parts hydrogen, 1 part oxygen
I grab some food and sit and watch tv shows that I've pvr'd.
basically the same thing just 20 years later.
OK, I guess I have an answer to this question: most students do not read their instructor's blog right after an exam...
@iwashere: There are times that I like really dumb, stupid action games. Or Peggle. I highly respect those who excel at strategy games--they take a lot of thinking.
@anonymous: Hmm, I never took chem in university, but Google tells me you're drinking pure alcohol! Or just consuming some random atoms.
@adrian: This is how far behind I am: this week, I started to watch The Polar Express, which I PVRed last December. I have watched all of Battlestar Galactica though, so maybe I'm not so bad.
I play some turn based online game! Pay my bills. Find sandman(haven't seen him for a while). Then it's back to chilling with textbooks for the next mid-term
So is it true that alcohol damages/kill brain cell??? if so why do they promote "beer garden" at a highly acedemic area
We learned about this in the last section of notes. The notes state that alcohol "does not kill brain cells, but damages dendrites, which may be repaired with abstinence". So drink that carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen mixture if you want.... just maybe not the night before an exam...
@anonymous: not everyone reading this blog is in my intro psych class (or, perhaps, in any of my classes).
@simon: no, it's not true that drinking alcohol kills brain cells, exactly. anonymous has correctly recalled the effects of alcohol on dendrites. I don't think having 1 drink a day will negatively impact your IQ!
I tend to sleep, then watch a comedy on tv or on my computer.
"2 parts carbon, 6 parts hydrogen, 1 part oxygen"
Hahaha good call...me too.
I thought that the TWO questions on smiles were a little excessive and nitpicky on the midterm...where as stuff that was more extensive in the notes/textbook (ie the whole first chapter) wasn't tested as much as I thought it would be. Thats just me though.
After a hard exam I like to de-stress by going outside and naming all the trees...unless it's cold, then I stay in and draw girabbits.
@Anastasia: OK, I had to Google "girabbits." Apparently, Google says it's a real thing...
Well of course it is. 'Tis basically two awesome animals coming together to form this one giant entity of awesomeness.
